What is Cork Plaster?

Our Cork Plaster system is a natural, breathable internal coating designed to improve warmth, comfort and moisture control within your home. It combines natural cork particles and aerogel with flexible, breathable and waterproof emulsions to create a high-performance layer without altering the finished appearance of your walls. The product is fully trowelable, allowing it to be applied cleanly and accurately to create a stable, even base for the final skim.

Unlike many cork-based products that remain visible as a textured finish, this system is created specifically for internal use where a clean, smooth and traditional appearance is required. Once applied, the cork layer can be skimmed with a standard plaster finish, allowing you to paint, decorate and style your walls exactly as you would with any modern interior surface.

A Discreet but High-Performance Upgrade

With Cork Plaster you benefit from the natural qualities of cork, including improved thermal comfort, reduced cold spots and greater resistance to condensation. The product has a calculated optimised thermal resistance of 0.1852 m²·K/W at 2 mm and is designed to reduce the transfer of heat and cold through treated surfaces.

The coating is breathable and has low liquid water permeability, helping moisture move safely through the wall while protecting against condensation, saltpetre, fungi, algae and bacteria. Its VOC-free formulation also makes it well suited to use inside the home.

Cork Plaster is elastic enough to accommodate normal movement within the substrate and has a tested direct tensile adhesion of 1.87 N/mm². It also provides acoustic benefits by helping to reduce airborne noise, impact noise, echo and reverberation. The result is a discreet but highly effective improvement that helps rooms feel warmer, drier and more comfortable throughout the year.
